Pre-Departure Orientation and Training
Under the Skilling Uganda initiative, IAL-U participates in the provision of Non-Formal Skills Training programmes geared towards empowering Uganda’s youth with practical production skills to boost their employability and capacity to start their own businesses. These are financed under Government of Uganda’s BTVET Programme and Skills Development Facility. The Institute was also commissioned by the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development to provide pre-departure orientation training to Ugandan migrant workers before they are deployed abroad
