Diploma in Information Communication Technology

This Diploma Program shall consist of lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, ICT laboratory practicals [computer hardware, Ms. Applications, software design, database design, website design, computer networking, computer programming e.t.c], ICT projects [database, website, programming, computer networking e.t.c], internship*, and study visits/field tours*.

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot/repair computer hardware/software and systems/applications
  • Design and develop effective computer information systems as IT solutions
  • Create jobs in ICT sector [Set up, manage, and maintain small IT workshops]
  • Proceed for further degree career studies in IT and its general Applications

 

This Diploma Program will provide a multi-disciplinary platform along with an emphasis on modern-day real-time applications. Due to the day-to-day changes in the field of science and technology, the ICT program of Engineering will facilitate and provide an opportunity to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to design, implement & manage a variety of Information Systems.‎ In general, transition in technology takes place at the system level, but the technology transition is due to the remarkable approach and changes in associated circuits, and programs. In this era of the 21st century, the wide usage and scope of various computational theories behind data analysis, multidisciplinary engineering, and E-commerce are playing a crucial role in providing solutions to the problems encountered by modern-day applications. In the three-year span of this course, students will gain knowledge and learn the fundamentals and scientific approach toward ICT-based systems. This program will support the flagship to develop miniaturized and cost-effective systems with the latest technology which is an initiative of the Digital World

This programme intends to equip Learners with a wide range of software, technical and technological ICT skills required in the industry at diploma level. On Completion of this course, the student is expected to develop and apply ICT solutions to solve practical business issues. This programme empowers Learners to use skills gained through use of technology in managing and supporting business related computer systems. This course also bridges the existing knowledge gap in organisational data storage, business continuity, disaster recovery, security, business analytics and optimisation and enterprise architecture.
