The development challenge
Many adolescents and teenage parents experience interrupted education, unemployment, social exclusion, weak family support, limited access to livelihood opportunities and increased exposure to abuse and exploitation. ALLIANCE responds through a coordinated pathway that addresses both the immediate vulnerabilities and the long-term development needs of young people.
ALLIANCE positions IAL-U as a practical leadership and social-transformation institution capable of combining education, protection, livelihoods and community development.

First-year priorities
- Finalise the programme framework, implementation model and results framework
- Conduct beneficiary, partner and service-provider mapping
- Establish safeguarding, referral and beneficiary-selection mechanisms
- Mobilise education, training, health and enterprise-development partners
- Develop and submit funding proposals
- Launch a pilot cohort and document learning for scale-up
Indicative first-year results
- 5,000 adolescents and teenage parents mobilised or registered
- 2,500 beneficiaries enrolled in education, vocational, leadership or enterprise pathways
- At least five strategic implementation partnerships established
- A functional safeguarding and referral system established
- A donor-ready national expansion package prepared
